Inside SIPA: January 2010(0)
The January Inside SIPA newsletter is now available online. Features include a review on the experiences of six SIPA students who became trapped in Port-au-Prince, Haiti during the devastating earthquake that struck that country on January 12. All returned home safely on January 15.
GPPN Conference Day 2
Day 2 of the Global Public Policy Network (GPPN) included presentations on “Economic and Environmental Sustainability” and “the Economic Crisis and Asia”. Among the presenters were Jennifer Fong and John Dulac from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
Turn up the Heat on Climate Change
Kofi Annan headlined the World Leaders Forum yesterday with a call to action on climate change. Looking ahead to December’s climate summit in Copenhagen, the former UN Secretary-General challenged world leaders to set side their narrow national interests and forge an international agreement to reduce emissions.
