Lauren Klein
Lauren is a second-year Master of International Affairs student with a focus in information and Internet policy. She is interested in issues of transparency and the digital divide. Before coming to SIPA, she worked as a freelance journalist based in New Delhi, India. Her work has appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, the AP’s asap, and in Mint, a business publication of The Wall Street Journal. She also worked with CNNMoney.com, where she edited and produced web videos about financial and technology topics. Lauren spent the summer of 2009 interning with the Berkman Center for Internet & Society where she researched ways digital technologies can help small business owners and entrepreneurs in developing countries. She earned her B.A. in Critical Social Thought from Mount Holyoke College.
