Ben Colmery
Ben is a former co-managing editor of TMP who graduated SIPA in May 2009 with a Master's of International Affairs, concentrating in Economic and Political Development, with a professional focus in Media and Development. His work at SIPA included researching media development in Nigeria and Ghana to promote transparency in extractive industries. From 2004 to 2006, he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine, and started a youth media training program and a community newspaper to promote freedom of expression through media. It was in Ukraine, during the Orange Revolution, that he witnessed the birth of a free press and the power of media to bring people together to create change.
