Policy Making in the Digital Age: February 27, 2010
The Morningside Post is proud to announce Policy Making in the Digital Age, a conference that will consider how the Internet and digital technology are changing policy making and international affairs.
Intersections between digital technology and international affairs are evident in recent events, including President Obama’s online campaign, the use of Twitter during the Iranian elections, and the new media advocacy model being championed by forward-thinking non-profits. The policy makers and practitioners who succeed in this landscape will be those who can adapt thoughtfully and quickly to meet the challenges – and opportunities – presented by these digital tools. Policy Making in the Digital Age will bring together faculty and students at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, as well as the wider Columbia and New York City communities, to explore trends and future implications in this area.

Please keep me informed on any presentations etc, as I am vitally involved in this policy aspect as it affects digital humanities, and library institutional responses.
