Join us for a brown bag discussion with Emmy award-winning journalist
Lynne Joiner about her new book, “Honorable Survivor: Mao’s China,
McCarthy’s America and the Persecution of John S. Service.” A personal
friend of John S. Service, Ms. Joiner will discuss his diplomatic role
in China when World War II was ending, the Cold War was dawning, and
the McCarthy era was just beginning.
