On Monday morning DigiActive released a Guide to Twitter for Activism, a 20-page handbook including a step-by-step strategy for using Twitter for political and social change along with a series of case studies.

The guide comes on the heels of the recent political unrest in Moldova, which many are calling a “Twitter revolution.” The role of Twitter — a microblogging service that allows users to post 140-character updates — in helping to organize the protests in Moldova is currently being debated, but DigiActive’s guide leaves little doubt that Twitter has played a significant role in political and social campaigns worldwide.
